The Idaho Green Fest is a community festival featuring local artists, vendors, nonprofits and businesses that offer products, services, and education in the realm of sustainability, community building, and environmental protection and enhancement. Exhibiting enables you to make meaningful connections with attendees while sharing your contributions and knowledge. We will fill our booth spaces with those who seek to do well while doing good, such as those working in:

  • Energy efficiency & renewable energy
  • Conservation & protection of natural resources
  • Waste reduction and recycling/repurposing
  • Manufacturing and distributing products that are locally or regionally produced and less toxic/plant-based/recycled/reusable
  • Goods and services with organic/sustainable credentialing (i.e. USDA Organic, LEED, Energy Star, Fair Trade, FSC, Food Alliance, LEED, Green-e, Non-GMO, etc.)
  • Education and promotion of sustainability and environmental values

Must know information

  • Positive Messaging
    • The Idaho Green Fest encourages public engagement and hopes to inspire participants to improve the sustainability of our economy and protect our planet from detrimental human behaviors.
    • We encourage positive messages about what you do and what you support instead of characterizing someone else as a bad actor.
    • The Idaho Green Fest itself does not endorse candidates, legislation, or ballot measures but exhibitors and sponsors are not prohibited from doing so, provided they stay positive as described here.
  • Discretion of Idaho Green Fest
    • The Idaho Green Fest creates an inclusive and educational environment that welcomes individuals, organizations and businesses striving for sustainability. You don’t have to be “perfect” to be involved.
    • We reserve all discretion in selecting Exhibitors.
  • Booth Space and Placement
    • Booth spaces are 10′ wide x 10′ deep and located along 8th Street or Bannock Street, which are pavement. Exhibitors may share booth space or purchase more than one space.
    • Exhibitors must bring their own tables, chairs, shade-structures, etc. and must provide their own tie-downs or supports to ensure stability of their structures in case of wind and bad weather.
    • Electrical hook-ups are not included in the Exhibitor fees. If electricity is necessary for your booth, you must request a connection prior to April 8, 2016. The charge to connect to an event generator or City hook up is an additional $30.
    • Booth placement will be assigned by the Idaho Green Fest based upon various factors. If you have specific placement requests (i.e. you want to be close to the stage or next to a certain other business, etc.), please note them in the Exhibitor Application and we will try to accommodate you.
  • Setup and Take-Down
    • The event is from 4pm-10pm on Saturday, April 23, 2016. The event is outside.
    • Festival set-up starts very early, but exhibitor setup is from 1130-330. We will provide specific instructions and times closer to the event.
    • Exhibitor take-down starts at sunset. If you would like to stay until 10pm, please note that in your exhibitor application.
  • Waste Reduction
    • The Idaho Green Fest strives to eliminate litter, reduce waste generation, and conserve money and resources.
    • We ask Exhibitors to refrain from distributing single-use/disposable items or written literature that is otherwise available online. Instead, we encourage creativity in developing promotions and ways of connecting that do not generate refuse.
    • The sale or giving away of plastic water bottles is prohibited! We will have water stations and support the sale or gifting of reusable bottles.
  • Pricing and Payment
    • Early Bird – by February 26th, 2016
      • Commercial and Government: $150
      • Non-Profit: $50
    • Regular – by April 8th, 2016
      • Commercial and Government: $200
      • Non-Profit: $75
  • Waiting list – applications submitted after April 8th, 2016 will be placed on the waiting list; regular prices apply.
  • Discounts: Exhibitors that are in the Boise Farmers Market or Capital City Public Market on April 23rd, 2016 receive a 25% discount upon request.
  • Payments must be received within 14 days of the application being accepted and no later than April 15th. Exhibitors who have not paid by April 15, 2016 may lose their booth space to someone on the waiting list.
  • Booth space at the Idaho Green Fest is priced with the intention of helping small businesses and nonprofit organizations participate while still meeting event needs. If the price is cost-prohibitive, please describe in your Exhibitor Application what kind of trade or other non-monetary contribution you could provide in lieu of some or all of the cash payment. Booth space made be shared.
  • Note that Sponsors receive complimentary booth space, so consider whether you would like to be a Sponsor, too!
  • Permits and Sales Tax
    • The Idaho Green Fest will be covered by a Special Events permit and thus the City of Boise does not require additional vendor permits; food and beverage licenses are required, if applicable.  
    • *All Exhibitors must fill out an ST-124 sales tax form, even if you are not selling anything. This is a requirement of the Idaho State Tax Commission. The Idaho Green Fest has set up a special website for Exhibitors to submit this paperwork online. The mandatory form must be completed before setting up the booth and can be found here.
  • Promotion
    • The event will be heavily promoted by the Idaho Green Fest (see Marketing Plan). After March 4, we cannot guarantee inclusion in media publications, so please get your applications in early!
    • All Sponsors, Exhibitors, and Presenters are requested to promote the event through their own organizational channels as well. We will share links and attachments as they are ready.
